'omg dazai treating akutagawa like he did literally makes no sense he just did it because he sucks and i hate him for it'
can we. have a conversation about this without being fucking stupid please. yes dazai fucks him up and its really awful and sucks so bad. yes it isnt necessary for akutagawa's improvement. but like everything with bsd, theres nuance to it that you are ignoring.
the initial meeting between dazai and aku is aku wanting a reason to live and dazai wanting to give him one. a repeat of what mori wanted to give him. (this does not mean those two relationships are the exact same. please guys. please things are different sometimes). Now. dazai assumes the way to give aku a desire to live is to give him purpose. he ISNT training aku to be a mindless killer - thats literally the Opposite of what hes doing. he wants aku to be More than a sword without a sheath. hes teaching aku to be efficient. not just killing people, being smart about it. being what the mafia wants. giving him a purpose through making him useful.
it also probably comes back to the fact that dazai is WRONG about what made him want (barely) to live. he believes it comes from being surrounded by death, thus making the mafia the perfect place for him. booo hes stupid boo hes wrong!! bc it doesnt. hes bored by it and he says that directly in dark era. that he thought being around death would content him with life and it HASNT. bc he was wrong in fifteen. he didnt suddenly become interested in life bc he was doing violence and masterminding for the mafia. it was bc Someone intrigued him.
dazais whole problem stems from apathy, he wants to die because hes Bored with life. nothing interests him. Except people. so he meets chuuya in fifteen and is Interested by him. and that happens to coincide with his first mission for the mafia so he thinks its the death aspect. but it isnt. and we see this repeated with the other people he cares about (oda and ango most obviously). dazais motivations for his plans arent fucking around w death for his own personal entertainment. its looking after his friends. thats the same no matter what canon material ur looking at. and that same reason is why hes alive.
his misinterpretation of that leads him to be wrong abt aku too. aku needs people, he needs a gentle hand to develop best (beast). dazai says himself that aku needs to find someone to be his sheath and that dazai cant be that person (he doesnt know how to be). ofc, the sheath is eventually atsushi and now that we see aku gain strength both with his ability, with strategic thinking, and just emotionally in general its bc of the development hes gone under w atsushi. but guess what? this is more to the thing of bsd being based on human connection. dazais alive bc of the people he cares for. aku does better around people he cares for.
this isnt to say dazais actions are at all justified, and thats not the point of this. bsd is full of grey characters. but i do wish that u guys at least understood the dynamic u want to complain about.
#the abuse cycle mentor to mentee relationships are based on misunderstanding guys please#mori believes dazai will want to live if he becomes the mafia boss bc moris reason to live is vested in responsibility for others#dazai believes aku will want to live if he makes him useful and good at working for the mafia. put him around death and make him Good at it#and aku believes making kyouka a weapon is the only way to give her worth bc that was what was done to him#but the fundamental thing w bsd is that EVERYTHING is about caring for people#bsd#dazai osamu#akutagawa ryuunosuke#nyxis hate posts#analysis

Jason x reader who likes horror movies
Blah blah pretend I'm saying something interesting!!! The brain meltage is real!
Notes: character is GN, established relationship
CWs: horror stuff, mentions of canon typical violence
surprisingly, jason isnt too big of a fan of horror movies- especially older slashers... which is a little.. ironic for multiple reasons
now he doesnt hate them really, and its not the gore hes bothered by. no, hes pretty desensitized to gore thanks to the stuff he does
its more so the nudity that sometimes gets placed in there- he can be a bit of a... prude... is that the correct word?
it doesnt matter how many nude people he sees around the camp, he never quite gets used to it... seeing someones insides is one thing but seeing their outsides just feels personal in a different way
jumpscares hardly phase him
just know that if you get angry with a character for doing something dumb, hes going to be angry right with you... seriously why did they think going into the woods in the middle of the night by themselves was a good idea! idiots!
he sometimes wonders if you seeked him out on purpose to fulfil any... desires... spawned by your interest- if thats true he doesnt exactly know how to feel actually...
or maybe you just have a type and you two bumped into each other on pure coincidence
willing to join you on a movie marathon if you offer it and he doesnt have anything that needs to be done! he does enjoy discussing the films with you afterwards, you sometimes get into playful banters on which was the best and who was the best character

ppl keep talking abt the lunch scene, and for that matter the cattons behaviour in general, as if its for the purpose of "saving face" or maintaining appearances. but the thing is, like. for what fucking audience???? like its so weird to me that ppl still see it as a deliberate performance with a clear nefarious goal of smth to gain, rather than like. the obvious behaviour of those traumatized by a lifetime of performing. they do not know how to do anything but perform. the shakeapeare references are everywhere. all the worlds a stage. the little box with their puppets that turns on and their motions are so creaky and frantic its nauseating. theyre the catton players. constantly trying to escape but not knowing how. farleigh being the only one not in that box isnt a coincidence either. hes the only one who us able to escape, not only olivers death spree, but the performance: hes got his bloody american feelings. venetia and farleigh and felix and even pamela all being hypersexual and everyone interpreting it as them deliberately using sex as a tool for gain, despite the fact that elspeth literally says that venetias been that way since she was 14. hypersexuality is a trauma response. elpseth being obsessed with other ppls trauma when she clearly cant process her own, and the same with felix. dude the cattons are deeply fucked up, but not in the cool way, theyre not the abstracted caricature of rich folks that yall want them to be. they are EXTREMELY real. and that is what makes them so fucked up!!!!! arguably oliver is the least real out of all of them and thinks the most like a catton should but we know thats a lie bc we see his pov. hes just as unhinged and unmoored and confused and unstable as they are!!! hes just convinced himself hes like them (cool, clever, detached, always one step ahead) when theyve convinced themselves theyre like him (normal, down to earth, humble, "real"). its so meta and i love it.

oooh ooooh ooooooooh!!! irt the nsb-luke post... the idea of nsb being not so great is just... OMG THE TENSION??? lile how would that go down? in my head, i'm just imagining what would happen if luke found out or the possibility of traitor!luke perhaps? 🤔
irt why i think the nsb let luke go back to stellis
yesYESSSSS THEN TENSION WOULD BE INSANE RIGHT??? and i forgot to mention in that last response that among the reasons why i think the nsb could possible be a bad guy is cuz.....of luke's AU cards
his SOTT card, SSR Overflowing Thoughts. and his gufeng card, SSR Dreamlike Drama. if u havent played/watched those cards, i HIGHLY recommend u do because i rlly loved the stories in both and also because of what those two stories have in common
[spoilers for those cards ahead] in both cards, the luke's AU life lead to him breaking against the state/the law and becoming a vigilante or an outlaw. the reason he broke off from the state/the law was because he had witnessed or experienced a Great Evil either from them (for SOTT card, luke seeing the injustice of the system causing suffering to mc and then later on him being ordered to kill innocent people and Pointedly, Not Doing That, thus becoming a wanted man) or just in general (in gufeng card, luke witnessing his parents being killed and going rogue to get revenge) like.....
this cannot be a coincidence. it feels like foreshadowing. luke is a very noble person at heart with a great GREAT sense of devotion for the people and the causes he believes in. but if that trust is broken, if he sees bad happening, he breaks off. two cards show us his propensity of doing this in AUs, so whos to say it cant happen in the canon setting? and if it does, then the mysterious govt agency that hes currently aligned to seems like the best bet for who That Evil will be, right?
im sounding like a madman again JHAVKJFAHSVF but i do hope this happens because it'd be SO INTERESTING
additionally, i do wanna say that in broad strokes, that i dont necessarily think itll be traitor!luke (thought that ALSO INTERESTS ME GREATLY YEYYEYYEEAAA) but more following the premises of the AU cards where like......ok in the beginning he actually was aligned with the state/the law, but then Something crossed the line, Something happened that was too horrible for him to accept, and he breaks off
the AU cards show that luke has hard lines and limits for what he is willing to accept from governing powers or from the status quo. when those lines are crossed, hes gone, hes out
so in canon i wonder if like.....luke Is a traitor in the nxx but he doesnt know it yet. hes more being used as a pawn, moved into the right spots where he'll be most useful and unknowing of what his purpose actually is. and then when he realizes that his master isnt as good as he first thought them to be, he goes rogue
wouldnt that be a hella fun route for the story to go? HAHA
btw, if ur interested in traitor!luke, i HIGHLY HIGHLY reccommend that u start reading and following sam @samsspambox's fic series "the world turned upside down (down, down, down)" which is delving into that concept along with other extremely fantastic concepts and also it's SO GOOD, GO READ IT!!!!
BUT YEAH......nsb being revealed to be not-so-good would be so so delicious to me narratively
.....it'd be agonizing for luke "guilt complex big enough to be seen from space" pearce to have more things to be insanely guilty about, but honestly that just adds to the appeal for me HKJASHFVAKSF
#welcome to the blog where sometimes i answer questions with more non-answers and a lot of tangents JVSKDJF#asks#anon

hey mod, i am having a uniquely fictionkin problem. ive never been in any 'kin drama' so i am hesitant to give this issue any weight. so basically, my best friend keeps claiming characters that are close to my kintypes as his kintypes and its freaking me out!
logically, i know that A. he is super oblivious when it comes to my feelings (and oblivious in general), B. kintypes are involuntary and he cant help how he feels, C. im a very skeptical and paranoid person. but this is like the fifth or sixth time and i am creeped out!
the last time he said he was a person i have complicated feelings about, i got pretty upset. i usually try to keep it to myself but this time i told him, bc i felt it was obvious how i feel bc i talk about said person. i guess it wasnt, because he just kinda looked surprised and clueless and said he had no idea that i felt that way about that character. and i also got confused and stopped being upset, because how can i be when he didnt know? i dont know.
and the other thing is, his kin experience is intensely fluid. he has few permanent kintypes, he'll say he is one character then say hes not the next year. i dont think theres anything wrong with not knowing who you are yet, but in this context its fuelling my paranoia. theres kintypes on his list that dont have anything to do with me at all, so im not sure.
i think im influencing him somehow? like maybe this is his subconconscious effort to get closer to me? i guess another person would be comforted or flattered, but it makes me nervous and flighty. my friend tried to say that he was thinking he might be [character who is my daughter in kincanon] and i straight up ignored him. i glossed over it because how the fuck am i supposed to react??? im feeling prickly and paranoid that one day he will try to say he is [character who is my wife] and i'll. probably blow up. but making up scenarios to get mad at in my head isnt any good.
i dont know, i dont think hes doing this on purpose. its just CREEPY. please, do you have any advice for me? am i being hysterical? am i imagining problems where none exist? im struggling to not make HIS kin journey about me, but its difficult when so many coincidences keep popping up.
Firstly I wanted to say I've never had to deal with an issue like this with fictionkin, so feel free to ask around some more or maybe someone with more advice could respond to this post!
I don't think you're overreacting, for what it's worth. Even if it is just coincidence, I think it's pretty normal to connect the dots when it keeps happening. You're right to question it, imo.
You know your friend a lot better than I do but to me, it does sound like he is likely being passively influenced by your kintypes. He's probably going through a time in his life where his identity is very volatile and easily molded by changes in his environment. I don't know how old he is but it's very common for younger people to go through phases like that, especially those with mental disorders or trauma. I would know, I was exactly that way as a teenager and young adult lol. I can't blame him for that, but if you are uncomfortable with him suddenly claiming kintypes that are connected to yours, I can understand why.
Maybe you could try talking to him about all of this? Maybe seeing his perspective will help, or maybe him seeing your perspective will help him realize something about himself. Not calling him out but just having a discussion, seeing what's up. You could express that it makes you uncomfortable, and maybe find some kind of solution or compromise. He may not be able to control his kintypes, but he could talk about certain ones less around you if it weirds you out. Or perhaps seeing your discomfort with the connected kintypes will switch that subconscious influence to not have those kintypes as often anymore.
Your discomfort is valid and you are allowed to have boundaries even if they seem silly on paper. Your fictionkin identity can be a very vulnerable part of you and it's understandable to be a little sensitive about it. There's nothing wrong with that :) You can still respect his identity even when establishing boundaries to make yourself more comfortable.

It’s all for his sake - Endeavor and the Sunk Cost Fallacy
My hero academia 301 is a pretty interesting chapter, but for me, the most notable piece of it was how Endeavour reacted to the realization that Touya couldnt surpass All Might.
upon realizing that his son might not be able to do it because of inborn physical limitations, he immediatly stopped his training, which frankly was the responsible and adult thing to do.
This stint of real parenthood did not last long however.
After taking the matter to a doctor, he is flat out told that not only cant Touya achive what endeavor wants, but it is a direct result of his incredibly selfish and irresponsible attempt to play god, by trying to breed the “perfect” hero into being.
It is how you react when you lose however, that shows who you really are, and endeavor illustrates that very, very well.
Upon being told in no uncertain terms that his attempts at Breeding an heir failed magnificently, producing a child that was not capable of resisting his own immense power, but also admonished by his doctor for even attempting it, and adviced not to try again, Endeavor instead doubled down, while focusing on the child he screwed over from the start with his attempt at genetic manipulation.
It was all for him you see. Endeavor doesnt use those words, but that is how he spins it here. it was all for Touya, all for his sake. if i stop now, then Touya was all for nothing, a mistake, im doing this for my son.
if im doing this for my son, then im not responsible for any of this.
his wife however, calls him out on it, as she understands Touya much, much more than endeavor does. or rather, she sees him fully as a human being, instead of as a thing, a weapon, a failed attempt at an heir.
Unlike Endeavor, Rei is able to see the way this all is affecting her son. She is able to see, and understand that Touya has fully accepted what Endeavor wanted him to be. a stronger, and better version of himself. however, unlike Endeavor, she only cares about him as a person.
Endeavour by comparison isnt completely uncaring about Touya. like most abusive parents, he does possess love for his offspring, but it is forever tainted by the fact that however much he might care, or not care about Touya, any familial love he has for his son is tainted by the fact that to Endeavor, he is a failed experiment, a failed heir, not his child.
He is the golden child that Endeavor was building up as his true and only heir, who he breed, trained, and molded to for that single purpose, and now that he’s reached a point where he cant continue that legacy.
so, its time to abandon him, and start over new, despite literarily having just learned how stupid this plan was, and that it can, in fact, go completely wrong, with a quirk that will fuck over the person he brings into the world.
Of course, Endeavor doesnt use those words to frame it. there is no way to pretend to be a hero, if you phrase it like that after all. Intead, this is the words he uses.
this is a very important series of panels for a great number of reasons, some that can be debated, argued, and we will probably never know the full truth to the questions because this is a series published in 2020′s shonen jump, and there are things that probably wasnt gonna fly with Hori’s editors, if it was the case.
but lets start with what can not be debated. Endeavor’s words here.
“If we want him to give it up, then we have no choice... Touya... Cant surpass him.”
These are very telling words, and however you believe The third and fourth children of the Todoroki family was concieved, there is not denying the meaning of what he’s saying here.
The only way that my son will stop being an idiot and fall into line, is if we have another baby. that is the only Right way to move forward. it is morally right, because if we dont do this, then he’s going to destroy himself.
there are two ways to interpret this scene.
The charitable way is to read it as the fact that he used Rei’s oldest son’s mental state as a justification of guilting his wife to have a third child, to give this attempt at a superpowered breeding project another shot, despite the fact that they now know that this can lead to a child who is essentially born crippled from his own powers, and despite the fact that Rei obviously understands the effect of them continuing this insanity will have on their oldest son.
the uncharitable way to look at it, is that he used this as justification for flat out raping her, and forcing a third, and then later a fourth child on her.
I personally believe the last one, given a number of factors shown in this chapter(the way this page is framed, the fact Rei obviously didnt want a third child, given she predicted exactly how touya would react, the way her eyes would latet turn when she looks at who is presumably touya which really brings to mind how she would later react to her youngest son’s face after her mental breakdown, etc.), but i’ll frankly admitt that withouth a direct quote from Hori, its impossible to know for sure one way or another.
either way however, this is a very good example of Endeavor both being influenced by, and using Sunk Cost Fallacy to justify bringing another potentially crippled child into the world for his own, selfish goals.
sunk cost Fallacy, is a mental reaction to when you invest more time and resources into a project, that you becomes so emotionally invested into said project that you will continue to invest into it, even if it reaches a point that it becomes clear that the resources you put into it, far, far outweighs the potential gains you can achieve.
because if you give up after having invested years, and years of effort to breed, raise, and train a kid, and then all that effort was absolutely wasted. hence he choose to keep going, despite having learned what a terrible idea this is.
He doesnt care about the fact that his next child might be even more crippled than his firstborn, he doesnt care about his son’s actual wellbeing. he cares about the fact that if he doesnt continue this insanity, then not only will he not achieve his dreams, but everything he did to get to this point was for absolutely nothing.
and endeavor cannot accept that. and so long as he can justify breeding more children into the world, and there being any chance they might inherit both quirks perfectly, he doesnt care about anything else.
and the moment he realised that this kid wasnt gonna cut it either, he did it again. it is not a coincidence, that the age gap between Endeavor’s second, third, and fourth children were all 3-4 years apart. because thats the age where you can usually tell when a quirk will manifest or not, as established earlier in the series.
While she isnt brought up directly by Endeavor as a justification, it is very telling that Endeavor decided on having a third child, only after his second child was old enough that he could tell that that there was no chance she could take the place as his heir instead.
So, he had his third child, and as time passed and it became obvious that he wasn’t gonna be able to fulfill Endeavor’s goals either, he dumped him, and instead breed a fourth child into existence.
and finally, he struck gold. he did it. he produced Shoto.
everything was finally worth it, and now, everything would be absolutely fine. the cost fallacy had reached its end, and it was now all full sails ahead.
except of course it wasnt.
His oldest son, now in middle school, had been raised from birth to believe he would surpass his father, only to be thrown away, and getting to see his father try to replace him, not once, but twice.
frankly, this scene is probably my favorite in the chapter, because it goes to show Endeavor’s mindset. Natsuo made a point that their father completely ignored his older children. and he did... from Natsuo’s perspective. however, having a more thourough picture of things, we can clearly see that this wasnt the case with Touya.
Endeavor genuinly cared for Touya, enough that once he got that child he tried to breed into existence 4 times, he genuinly wanted him to just abandon trying to be a hero. he genuinly thinks of himself as a good dad here, wanting his son to abandon the mission he set out for him before he was born. of course, with context, this heartwarming scene is incredibly sad and insidious, because we understand why Endeavor got so attached to his oldest child. because he WAS the golden child. he was the child Endeavor genuinly cared about, and invested in, and trained personally with great warmth and enthusiasm.
And not only did he abandon him as a failed project the moment he realized he wasnt gonna live up to his ridiculous standards, but he literarily created 2 more kids to try and replace him, just as his oldest son was old enough to understand what exactly his dad was doing. over the course of this chapter, we get to see Touya’s start as a 5-8 year old, his deteriorating mental state over the years, until he finally seemed to reach the breaking point with Shoto’s birth sometime in his middle school years 12-15.
Endeavor is in this scene, just not capable of understanding why Touya so desperately wants to become a hero, when obviously he isnt physically able to do so. he isnt able to understand that he is 100% to blame for the fact that his son is having a full emotional breakdown after literaly being replaced by his siblings.
In other words, Endeavor genuinly think’s he’s a good person. a person who has made a few mistakes along the way sure, but a person who was always justified in the end, and now that he’s having to face the fact that as dabi would later say “The past never dies” and has to face the aftermath of his inane attempt to play god for the pettiest of reasons, things simply arent going to work out.
He isnt going to have a happy family, who can now put the awful early years behind them, he put way too much effort, caused too much suffering and sacrificed too many years of his life for this not to work out as he wants.
after all, if he walks away from this project now, and lets Shoto have a normal childhood, and decide for himself, with no pressure from him, wheter or not to become a hero, then the sunk cost fallacy will have reached a negative end. it will all have been for nothing.
and we know he did eventually double down on this mentality, literarily beating into Shoto that he WAS going to become a hero, and there was not but’s or no’s about it.
there was no way that Endeavor was EVER going to let things be for nothing. His treatment of his older children could not be for nothing. His treatment of his wife could not be for nothing. His treatment of Shoto, and the way he beat him black and blue to train him, could not be for nothing.
Because if it all was for nothing, if everything he feels guilty about was for absolutely nothing, then he was in fact, a bad, bad person, who had no justification for anything he ever did.

Don’t mind me rambling on to you about something that Isnt the intertwined arts of leadership and deception, I just think you’d have good insight on this:
I wholeheartedly believe if rantaro wasn’t killed off so early he would have been the antag, Like??? “Don’t worry! I’m not a bad guy!” Immediately after introducing himself.
I think if you have to say you’re not bad and justify that you’re not bad, you MIGHT BE BAD
Not to mention he’s the ultimate survivor and he survived we don’t know how many games. That shit would’ve came up and he would’ve caused a lot of problems, on purpose or not. What if he just?? Embraced that role and became a goddamn menace to everyone??
We quite literally do not know shit about his personality because he got killed off early. He could’ve been so horrible. Honestly he had so much potential to be the actual goddamn threat
Like?? Everyone would be so worried about Kokichi kinda fucking everything up. And then in comes rantaro. Who ACTUALLY fucks everything up and everyone is like “oh shit forgot about him uh oh”
not at all!! my ask box is always open for anything, not just tialod, though you will notice that my ability to answer in a timely matter isn't always very good (sorry about that!!)
ooo amami as the antag is a very interesting thought! You're right, he was definitely set up to be an antag and he would have made an interesting one, because there are so many possibilities with him and his situation.
A lot of it hinges on how much he actually remembers from the beginning, though. Since his message to himself mentions his talent and the fact he was in a previous killing game, and since that was in his Ultimate Lab that was only made available in Chapter 5, I do genuinely believe he had no idea about his talent or specific circumstance in the short span he was alive in canon. All he knew was he had a perk that nobody else had, and he probably connected some dots with that that made him act shifty as hell, but it could also be used to end the killing game. Things he mentioned that made it seem like he knew more - like the Ultimate Hunt - were just mentioned in the Survivor's Perk.
A lot of his advantage is based in one specific situation happening that didn't even work out in canon for him, and the concrete knowledge that the mastermind is in the academy. Admittedly, knowing there is a definite mastermind could definitely spur him into being a threat past Chapter 1, growing more desperate to find them and put an end to this, but I don't think his talent and association to the previous game could actually come into play until he discovered his lab in Chapter 5, which personally takes away a lot of the fun of Amami specifically as an antag.
For the sake of fun, though, let's say Amami remembers everything in terms of being the Ultimate Survivor and the previous killing game, but in a fuzzy enough way that it can coincide with the Flashback Lights - maybe he later assumes it took place during the Ultimate Hunt, and that he was recovered by the Gopher Project and got a new title for being the only one to actually escape the Hunt's clutches, whatever. He lies to the others about forgetting his talent because that's obviously not information you just freely give out. That would give him some fun possibilities in terms of motives for being a menace!
From the way I see his character in canon, I can't imagine he would actively enjoy causing problems. He gives the impression of a mediator to me, someone who prefers to keep things civil and work things out somewhat diplomatically - which probably comes from having so many sisters, to be fair. But he's also very cold when it comes to the topic of the killing game, collected and full of ominous warnings, and that would go tenfold if he actually remembered the previous killing game. He may not enjoy it, but he definitely would do it, if he thought it was for the best. It might be fun to lean into a whole 'I know best' mentality with him, actually, playing around with his big brother complex too, reflecting the more classmates lost to him losing his sisters, on top of the inevitable self-importance that comes with knowing more than anyone else.
Perhaps he thinks the mastermind of his first game is the same as this one. That would make him more eager to expose them, to end the game - to avenge his previous classmates. He can't remember who the previous mastermind was but he knows there was one. Perhaps he's willing to gamble as long as a majority survives. After all, anything is better than one, right? Or perhaps he has to prioritise ending the killing game because of his own paranoia - what if it continues and continues and continues? If they can make one killing game, two, what's stopping them from going on?
Sixteen, thirty-one, is nothing in comparison to infinity.
Motives and general Amami character analysis aside, I do think the idea of his dynamic with Ouma in this situation would be particularly interesting. Because yeah, everyone would definitely be more concerned about whatever overt off-the-walls bullshit Ouma is doing than mild, vaguely ominous but helpful Amami in the corner. It leaves Ouma to be a very convenient and easy scapegoat for anything Amami does, and Amami is smart enough not to make himself obvious about things. He doesn't want to draw the mastermind's attention any more than he does by simply existing in this killing game.
And it's strange, because while I can see Ouma playing along on the principle of it helping further along his own plans anyway, I also can't see him being very happy at being used as a pawn. He's very suspicious of Amami and his behaviour anyway, but being accused of things out of his own hands kind of pisses him off, because he expects things to go a certain way. Amami is sort of like an unknown variable to that. I could imagine a sort of implicit, passive aggressive rivalry going on between them.
The reveal that Amami is more involved in anything than the others thought would be very delicious though!! He can't hide all his actions, and the further the game goes, the more cold and serious he becomes, driven by the fear of being unable to end this game before he winds up the sole survivor again. It becomes obvious that he's pulling shit, and it's like uncovering a threat that was always laying dormant - suddenly the class is left scrambling to accept that Amami isn't nearly as innocent as they thought he was.
All that said, I would like to make an argument that Amami is already an antag, technically.
Amami is Akamatsu's antag.
They're very similar, and also very different. They both show an ability to lead and a level of determination, and both are trying to keep everyone happy and together - mediators. But Akamatsu is emotional, passionate, warm and hopeful with a tendency to lash out where Amami is cooler, calculative, composed, more focused. Akamatsu is flying by the seat of her pants while Amami has an actual plan, has experience.
Obviously, they were only alive for one chapter so it might just be because they had to squeeze all the character interactions in before they died, but it really does feel like, in Chapter 1, in Akamatsu's POV, Amami gets more of the spooky future antag focus. He gets the ominous quips, he gets the visible concern - at one point, Akamatsu mentions that something Amami had said really affected her, placing emphasis on it.
In contrast to how Ouma is treated in this chapter before the trial, Akamatsu seems to write off a lot of his behavioural quirks as being childish, or not taking things seriously. A lot of their conversations boil down to his whole liar-liar schtick, and from what I can remember, Akamatsu herself never really singles him out in commentary. He definitely still stirs shit, but mostly he's just annoying, and there isn't too much emphasis on it. It's not treated like a threat, really. Not in comparison with Amami.
Because to Akamatsu, Ouma can be written off as lying, as running his mouth, as playing around. Amami is serious, and he knows something.
Amami is Akamatsu's antagonist.
Plus, narratively, it makes a lot of sense to me if they got rid of a protag-antag pair in one trial. It's like wiping the slate clean and letting the new pair step into the spotlight.
We never see Amami through Saihara's eyes in canon. But we see him take Ouma seriously, and that's when he becomes a recognised threat.
Basically - yeah, I agree with you. Amami definitely could've been the antag if he survived, and now I'm really itching to write a one-shot.
It would be a fun AU, to explore a canon divergence where Saihara and Ouma die in the first trial instead, leaving Akamatsu as the protag and Amami as the antag. At first, nothing can ever be fully linked to him, it's all coincidences, until it can't be any more. And Akamatsu is frustrated because he knows things, it's so obvious, but it's confusing to talk to him because he acts so amiable about it. It feels wrong to get mad at him like that.
#sorry for the essay!! i started thinking about the concept for more than two seconds#and unravelled into brainrot#these are my thoughts but they're by no means right - just my interpretation of things!#percy answers

Uh, I saw your Obey me scenarios post (An Mc being names Lucifer) so If is not much of a problem could you make the same dinamic but with the name Lilith? (My parents were really edgy teens and made my second first name Lilith) oh and also if if isnt a problem could it be a gn!Mc?
In my guidelines I already stated that the MC will always be gender neutral
And it's not really an edgy name? Lolololol
It's both pretty and powerful, and it becomes both soft and charming if you shorten it to Lily, and there are so many lilys around the world!!
I personally love the spider lily!
.
One of MC's Names is Lilith
Basically I am gonna make MC's middle name Lilith!
Warning: uncensored swearing and SPOILERS FOR BASICALLY THE ENTIRETY OF SEASON 1
.
Lucifer
This bitch would love to say it was all a mere coincidence that the paper that flutered under his foot was of someone who had 'Lilith' of all names as part of their own.
But you bet that somewhere in the back of his mind he knew this could be way more than just a coincidence.
Yes he was going judge the fuck out of you. Was it to see if you could measure to the name? Was it out of his own defensiveness? Because you were a constant, living, reminder of all he has been hiding from his brothers? He didn't know.
You can bet a part of him still thinks of it as his own personal punishment.
.
Mammon
Definetelly didn't know about it, and it was definetelly because Lucifer chose to not say your full name on purpose to his brothers, and Mammon couldn't care less at the start either way.
His desinterest lasted like, the entire walk from where he was to the council hall to fetch you.
He definetelly would find out on accident, probably while trying to cheat on a test by looking at yours.
He immediatelly understood Lucifer's actions towards you and what he was most likely feeling about it all.
But Mammon himself wouldn't change much though, he would talk to you about it, and in the end he would say something along he lines of: "it feels kind of nice y'know? Like she's watchin' over me."
.
Leviathan
Would find out either through Mammon or through any of his other brothers (except for Belphie), yes I though about teachers saying your full name but seeing demons have such unique names and only one at that, I believe not even them would be bothered to say your entire name out loud for the class.
He would need quite a bit of time to fully process the information, emotionally that is.
And he would need an ever bigger bit of time after finding out you actually were related to Lilith.
Like seriously what are the odds?!
Another one who thinks of it like a sign of his sister watching over him, though in his mind she was definetelly judging his life choices;;
In reality she definetelly wasn't lol.
.
Satan
Discovered at some point somehow, connections, remember?
Definetelly deliberated if he should use this as a way to taunt Lucifer, the only thing stopping him being a nagging feeling on the back of his mind that he would be taking things too far.
So he ended up being quiet about it until someone (probably Mammon, chances of actually being Levi, possibly both) actually said it out loud around him, in which his answer would be "yeah I knew".
Satan wouldn't change either, though he was intrigued by the extreme ammount of coincidence of it all. You, a descendant of Lilith, with her name as one of your own, an exchange student in hell, where all her brothers were sent to. You out of possibly at least 320 people around the world who could also have his sister's blood flowing in their veins.
Watch out he might start a conspiracy theory about it that could most likelly be right-
.
Asmodeus
Most likelly found out through Satan, also kept quiet until someone (the pair of dumbasses two and three) said it out loud.
I feel like he would basically ignore your middle name existed for an even bigger while Levi took to compute the fact that it existed.
He will get to a conclusion at some point, will probably ask for advice from Satan or talk to you about it in an uncharacteristic reluctant fashion.
It's still a sore spot you know? Specially after finding your blood origins.
He would ""get over"" it, or should I say, he will choose to heal alongside you and encourage his brothers to do the same.
.
Beelzebub
I think your middle name would most likely enter the conversation around the time Beel opened up to you about Lilith and Belphie.
Beel would take that as even more of a sign something else was going on, something was or needed to be changed, and he needed answers.
Third party member of 'it's like my sister is watching over me'. A part of him would have a weight lifted off his heart at the thought it felt like she didn't completelly disappear, but another part of him would be crushed even further by guilt and remorse.
Overall he wouldn't change, it's just one more reason for him to be his protective self over you, but with time he would start actually smiling instead of looking somber whenever your middle name was mentioned.
.
Belphegor
h o h B O Y
All aboard the pain train, this is going to be a ride.
He would either find out about it when you told him about the conversation you had with Beel or only way after Lesson 16.
But no matter when he finds out, he would still basically feel like he just got dumped in frozen water the moment he got told about it, like a huge fucking warning for him to "not do it" and yet he still did it, and he fucked up.
I still bet he feels most guilty not about killing you per se, but for having Beel almost go through the same thing as the past, if not worse, for a second time.
Overall Belphie would be the most nonchalant about it, fake it until you make it, right?
#Ray's late journey to answer requests#you could say I had a lot going on#a lot I was doing that is#obey me#obey me!#obey me! shall we date?#obey me shall we date#does this count as angst...?#obey me lucifer#obey me mammon#obey me leviathan#obey me satan#obey me asmodeus#obey me beelzebub#obey me belphegor#obey me lilith#obey me headcanons#obey me imagines#obey me scenarios#ray's back at it again

jesus/adora meta pwease 👉👈😳
okayokay ive been thinking about this for a long time and the reason ive never written about it is because like. its so BIG. i like to think of adora’s character as a reflection of noelle’s experiences as a former christian, and there is still so much to dive into with that- however i do agree there’s another more abstract layer to adora’s story that challenges some bigger theological ideas. this is probably about to sound wild lksjljfdf i’ll try my best to explain my thought process just disclaimer that it will not make any sense 😌 when do my metas ever make sense tbh. U KNOW WHAT YOU SIGNED UP FOR WHEN YOU FOLLOWED ME BYE
Parallel 1: There’s at least one jesus/adora parallel that’s undeniable and that’s the whole ancient prophesied messiah thing. this wasn’t in the original motu lore so you know it was added for a reason.
Parallel 2: Adora was raised by shadow weaver and light hope to be a willing sacrificial lamb.. the isaac to their abrahams. her faith in god (aka her allegiance to the horde / first ones) demanded that she sacrifice herself to save the world.
i think these 2 parallels provide sufficient evidence to move on with this analysis but later i wanna mention some of the more specific details bc they are super interesting! but yeah for now--there was clearly some theme going on here about subverting the story of jesus... adora was given a divine destiny to save etheria, but save it from what? and why does it matter?
She-Ra criticizes the penal substitutionary atonement theory
what the fuck is that right lsdfdkj I WARNED YOU THIS WAS GONNA BE ABOUT THEOLOGY
ok basically. evangelical christians like to say that jesus died to save us from our sins, but what they actually believe is that jesus died in our place to save us from god’s wrath. that’s an important difference. let me uhh put it another way
god defined sin (as disobeying him), created humans to be inherently sinful, decided he would punish us for the way he made everything.. then sent jesus to save us (from his own unjust anger?? as if it’s an act of mercy lmao)
in a similar way, horde prime defined sin as disobedience, then decided he should kill everyone for it. but he is a 1D villain for the purposes of the show right so instead of prime sending adora as a savior, it’s light hope who sends her. a lil confusing but its all part of the same story light hope is just another metaphor for religion. so far adoras story = jesus.
AND THEN THIS IS THE GENIUS PART--as we know adora’s destiny was never light hope sending her to the world, that was all a lie... her true powers, her true “destiny” came from being chosen BY the world.
!!!!!!! THERE IS. so much here. the whole christian narrative is flipped. writing the next part in italics because its important lkdfjldj
in christianity, a good god sends a savior from heaven to redeem an evil world. in she-ra, it’s an inherently good world that chooses it’s own human hero to save it from an evil god.
which (finally) brings us back to how she-ra criticizes the evangelicals atonement theory. because humanity doesn’t deserve god’s wrath any more than the etherians deserved prime’s wrath. condemning people for disobeying arbitrary rules (e.g. “believe jesus is the only path to life”) makes no sense. however..... if disobedience is not a sin, that means there is no need for atonement. no need for atonement = no savior. no sacrifice.
tl;dr she-ra compares jesus--a deity sent from heaven as a sacrifice--to adora, a human chosen by the world itself, who avoided that same sacrifice. to me this is a rejection of the idea that humanity needs a divine savior. and beyond that, a rejection of the specific evangelical theory that we needed him to die in our place because we are sinful.
Resurrection through love instead of faith
ok that was a lot lsdkjfld but.. to shift gears a little..... the fact that adora’s sacrifice was unnecessary isn’t as important as how the sacrifice was avoided.
i said before that god defined sin as disobedience but in practice that just means having any personal desire that exists outside of him. shadow weaver and light hope tell adora that in order to follow her destiny she has to “let go” of her friends... as if they’re mutually exclusive, her desires and faith cannot coincide, she must choose between them. its a reflection of the same kind of black & white ultimatums you hear in church. this is how the show was able to frame adora’s love for catra as sinful without explicitly stating it.
when adora ignores her mentors guidance and kisses catra..... first we all cried ldkfj but also. she is committing the ultimate “sin” !! she’s giving into her desires so, according to the dichotomy set up by sw and lh, she’s also rejecting her destiny/faith by default.
but then... it’s this sin that actually saves adora’s life, whereas faith would’ve led to her death. wait hold on i [goes outside and screams]
so jesus and adora followed very similar destinies right. jesus spends his life rejecting his personal desires, dies for god, and god resurrects him for his obedience. but adora LIVES and its BECAUSE she embraces her earthly desires, leaving behind the religious idea that rejecting your desires leads to salvation.... which is once again the opposite of jesus. like jesus died to save an evil world from sin, but in contrast adora reclaimed her “sin” as something good and it saved her from death, it saved her from needing resurrection at all !!!!! at least, not from god. maybe catra’s kiss symbolizes a different kind of resurrection, one inspired by love instead of faith. new life that isnt earned through sacrifice but given freely (as christians like to claim god’s grace is).
THAT IS SO LDKJFLDFJDDF and this entire time i havent even MENTIONED the fact that this is all in relation to LESBIAN love and LESBIAN desires which is obviously the point of the show and why these themes hit so hard. but even when you take away the lgbt aspect, she-ra still holds up as a fantastic criticism of evangelical theology.
........ 🙂 ok i think my brain is broken jdjdjsj why did i write this
#why did you READ this... you rly saw the words ''penal substitutionary atonement'' and just kept going huh! i am terrified of you!!!!!#jk ily thx for reading <3 pls dont ask me to explain any of this tho#religious meta

Dex dizznee
Who is dex dizznee?
Why was he born?
What was his purpose?
He isnt that exceptionally smart, isnt talented, doesn't have a fancy talent like telepathy or empathy, all he got was a lame ol technopath ability.
Yet, he craves for attention, craves to be someone Great, to receive love and acceptance from the society…he deserves it…doesnt he? Or does he?
He has amazing supportive parents, three chaotic yet caring siblings… it should be enough… he thinks. He loves his family to the moon and back, he would do anything for them, to keep them safe, he thinks.
When he was a little kid, he always thought that once he went to school, he would make his parents proud, make tons of friends, keep his grades up and become something admirable and amiable… but he didnt know the monstrosity rhat was waiting in school. He didnt do anything, yet he got contempt, glares, pitiful glances and teachers eyes which expected nothing from him, they had already given up. He wasnt even given a chance, his life, his potential was already decided for him, which was nothing. Everyone thought that the dex dizznee could not do anything, couldnt be anything ever, the moment he fails theyll be there to sneer and laugh and say that it was expected. He asked himself over and over again why? Why was so much contempt and hatred directed towards him? What did he ever do to the world? It was because of his parents? The caring, kind, lovely parents? He couldn't think of better parents, of better people than his parents and yet the world hated them for loving each other? Isnt it taught in school that love is good, love is peace, and we should always love each other, love can never be wrong…the answer is always love? Wasnt that the basic principle of life? Of humanity? And yet the "society" hated dex because of love? He couldnt understand it, he couldnt grasp it, just why? It didnt make sense. It was not fair. And dex dizznee understood that day, that nothing would ever be fair for him, nothing would be easy… if he failed, it was what was expected of him, if he succeeded, it was luck, a mere coincidence, he still amounted to nothing. Everyone expected, even waited for him to fall, his fall would give others pleasure and satisfaction of being right, and he decided that say, he would never let them have that satisfaction. He loved his family, he was proud of his family, and he would make his family proud, he would never let the cruel unjust society have the satisfaction of being right, because they werent. He couldnt ever understand how the society was right, all he saw was his parents were lovely and kind and caring and there was nothing wrong with them, or him, or his siblings. They were right, the world was wrong, and he would never let the world have things the way it wants. No matter what he has to do to achieve that.
He still has his doubts, he doubts himself every step of the road. He spent every day before manifesting praying, and doubting. When he manifested he doubted his talent. Technopathy? Why did he have to get the lamest of all abilities? When he got anything under a good grade, he doubted his ability. Is he really dumb? Was the society right all along? No. He cannot afford that. He cannot afford to let the society be right about him, because if they are…then…he doesnt know…. He doesnt know the answers to a million things. But he knows, he cannot let the world win. He pushes himself to his limits, he is the hardest on himself, he doesnt want his siblings to experience the same thing he experienced. He doesn't want anyone to go through it ever again. He would protect, he decided, he would protect anyone and everyone against the society in his control. He couldnt let his siblings have the same experience, he will shut the society up for them. He wont let his friends have the same experience, he would plug their ears and shut the society up for them too. The moment he became a big brother, he knew what he had to do, and he would never let anyone else be alone through the hell that the "society" has made his life.
#dex dizznee#kotlc#kotlc dex#dex diznee#dexter alvin dizznee#demn i really went off in this one#yes.#dex dizznee analysis#i love him#hes so amazing#hes so cute#hes protective of everyone cuz he has siblings#period#its canon#he will do anything to protect people close to him.#T_T someone give this precious boy a hug

You can't just drop that "I read Forces Multiplied" bomb on us and not give a ten page written reaction.
[cracks knuckles] if u insist
nicky cant drive hc: destroyed. rip. also i loved how andy and nile stole those sports cars and were being badass and driving off the bridge & meanwhile joe and nicky were just absolutely vibing in the van
'heres the thing about power: people who have it think they deserve it' [shot of police car] i see u greg
5 whole panels being dedicated to booker not being able to unlock his door. booker not even seeing noriko sitting RIGHT THERE in the window at first. incredible
noriko being 24/7 horny was surprising. like wow all of the stuff i saw she did out of context was 100% equally horny in context as it was out of context. love that for her
i didnt think the 'andy + slavery' thing was handled as badly as everyone made it out to be when telling me about it. tho from the way it was talked about i had kind of figured the conflict between andy and nile re: slavery would be really racially charged (esp considering nile is a black american and would obvs have Thoughts on the subject in that regard) but like,, done in a cringey 'a-white-guy-obviously-wrote-it' kind of way? but it wasnt that. i mean. it makes sense that andy would be implicit in slavery through the years
i mean, like she says, is that not what people just did to each other in the aftermath of battles for thousands of years? and i really like how its pointed out that it was what she was raised with (in the beginning when you see her put shackles on that guy after the battle) but she also accepts responsibility for it and acknowledges that it was wrong and not just 'what people did'.
i like how from her expressions you can kind of tell baby andy knew it was off but she sets those feelings aside bc she felt angry. it explains how she felt but didnt make her out to be blameless in it. plus i mean. i dont know, the fact that andy was involved in a lot of morally shady stuff for 7000 years is not that wild for me. if you live that long youre just Going to be involved in some shit, and she didnt even have other immortals with her as positive community influences, she literally just did whatever the fuck she wanted for thousands of years
'i was worshipped as a god once' i mean, yeah no shit she wouldve been involved in some seriously fucked up stuff, gods were fucking scary back in the day
tldr it could use some polish but it wasnt that bad
tho everything people said about moose being boring was unfortunately a little true. sorry king i tried to be interested in you
joe and nicky writing verbal fanfiction about nile and moose was iconic. 'you seeing that?' 'i am definitely seeing that'
it was also extremely funny bc that was like 60% of their contribution to the whole comic, besides kidnapping copley. they came, they wrote some fanfic, they left. kings. at least in tog1 they had an excuse to be useless bc they got kidnapped
joe just found out his old friend who he thought was dead is alive (and also probably wants to murder them) and instead of investigating with andy he stopped to help nile up. champ.
nicky shooting noriko through andy was cool. rip to the concept since it wont happen in tog2
wanna see mr ejiofor deliver this line
on that note imo copley was. weirdly enough, more interesting in fm than in tog1. to me at least. the fact that andy let him live and he was so haunted by what had happened that he came back and sought them out despite knowing they would likely kill him for it bc he wanted to not only make up for what hed done but also to tell them what theyd done for the world was admittedly more interesting than andy just kind of drafting him to the cause and him going 'okie'
i like how nicky was drawn in this one. in opening fire he looks like a blob man but in fm he looks more like a very nice grampa with a very good dye job
'theres no pain like a broken heart' andy 🥺
noriko implying andy's never drowned. .. .idk about that one, she musta drowned sometime
joe and nicky came, they waxed poetic about nile's love life, they waxed poetic about grog, and then they left.
sports bras being a reason humanity is good. i mean..... okay, yeah.
i mean. wild but you cant exactly tell her shes wrong
i liked how noriko telling andy that their purpose is to make people suffer coincides with joe and nicky finding out that they actually did good all those years
joenicky in opening fire: jail for booker jail for booker for 100 years
joenicky when copley tells them he knows where booker is: WE'LL KILL YOU WHERE IS HE
joenicky when copley comes back: if your vibes come off as even remotely rancid we Will destroy you
joenicky 2 minutes later when copley helped them find booker: he made up some ground :)))) <3 lov you j cops
theyre forgiving af
moose: how old are you?? a hundred??? a thousand???
nile [vine voice]: I M 2 7 ?
alright andy you got me there
joe texts like my aunt
i dont know why noriko drowning andy in that car tickled me. Bad And Naughty Andromaches Get Put In The Pear Wiggler To Atone For Their Crimes.
the drowning sequence was cool
copley trying to talk to andy while she was like o_o at him was great
ive hit the picture limit but id seen that panel where nicky goes 'forgive me' as he kills a guy out of context and it was HILARIOUSLY anticlimactic for me to discover that there was literally no context to it. nicky just apologizes to random people he kills. i thought that guy was someone he knew or something. nope its just Some Guy that nicky didnt know from adam
nile's complaint that andy was especially brutal to the guys on the boat... i mean. . , how exactly does one kill a man with an axe and not be brutal about it?
it was funny how noriko kissed andy and the only people who seemed surprised by that were nile and also andy
nicky and joe's complete non-reaction to finding out noriko is alive And Evil Now is endlesly funny. they just left her on that boat and neither cared. i get book and nile not caring but joe and nicky knew her, and they just have 0 input on the subject of what to do with her
pinstripe suit guy!
joe and nicky and booker packing up and leaving with nile
andy blowing up at nile was A Moment tho
i dont know, i get why people didnt like the ending but its. .. . it makes more sense in the comicverse. bc the squad doesnt really. .. interact outside of jobs? i mean, think of the moon landing story in ttt. that was booker and joe and nicky doing a job and andy only showed up a for a couple minutes after it was done. or the brunch in the first issue of opening fire. the squad arent as tight in the comic, and andy often seems to do her own thing outside of work, so andy saying 'i dont want to do work anymore' and the squad being like 'alright bye then' makes more sense in this universe than the movie one
also i feel like greg was Trying to set up a thing where nile becomes the Leader of The Squad after andy dies but like. its not very well done since. . . i mean, nile hasnt spoken to booker since opening fire, (and she only knew him A Day). and shes known joe and nicky all that time, but there isnt really anything that indicates that they have any relationship at all, much less one that's grown. in all the comicverse the only time nile and nicky speak is in FM, and in that scene nicky tells nile about noriko. nile goes from someone who needs to be set aside to have background knowledge explained to her to being the Leader of the group with nothing in between. it kind of... comes out of nowhere.
on the other hand tho... i felt really bad for andy thru the whole thing. well, i always felt bad for andy, but in this one she seemed so miserable, especially since it really felt like none of the others actually.... cared about her. when noriko came back no one asked andy how she was doing (big question ik, but it wouldve showed they cared at least), nobody ever expressed any concern for her, no one even really seemed to want to be around her. in opening fire everyone was more distant than in the movie of course, but there were little moments where she would joke with joe, or nicky would try and comfort her, or stuff like that, but in FM it really felt like they just didnt really care about her. & in opening fire it felt a lot like andy's relationship with nile breathed some new life into her, but in FM it felt like all they did was argue. i get theyre not *as* close in the comics but it really felt like the only person who cared about andy at all was noriko (which was probably also how andy felt) but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. honestly i was reading and i was honestly agreeing with andy that she might just be better off if she did just die. opening fire, on the other hand, never make me feel that way
tho everyone made it sound like when the squad split up it was one of those cursed 'the found family leaves each other at the end of the journey' tropes. but guys i mean,,, this is the second installment out of three. that isnt the End. theyll come back in the third one and Dramatically Reunite to fight some baddies (probably those 'others' noriko mentioned). im guessing yitzhak fits into that too somehow.
anyways it wasnt That Bad but it made me kind of sad and the only Sweet Found Family vibes in it were when they saved booker. also they shouldve beefed up that nilemoose romance, it underwhelmed me. 6.5/10
i also ABSOLUTELY understand all of greg's comments about how you couldnt make FM directly into a movie, he always said that it had no plot and. i get it now. it really didnt have a plot sdfghjkl

Ok right. So just to get it out of the way i think the logic that madeleine isnt a trained knight or anything silly (tho i also dont see many ppl arguing this personally) bc like, he is a character u can choose for ur team and he fights w a sword and shield so like. Yeah. But more importantly 2 me i have talked to ppl abt maddie being like a pr knight before but i also think its more complicated like that
So like literally the only things devsis has bothered to say to describe the republic is that its 1. Peaceful (not a clue what this is supposed to imply ngl) and 2. Well known for actively engaging w arts and theatre. I dont think its a coincidence that madeleines descriptions all show him as this regal noble heroic picturesque etc etc etc knight, like compare these to knight cookie, madeleines image is alllll abt the visuals and how he appears to someone looking at him. His pristine and crisp cloak, his shining armour, regal, “magnanimous” presence etc like the fact his image as a knight is so tied to these very fairytale-esque descriptors makes me think his role as a knight and commander is to be like the heroes and princes From the plays in the republic… hes arrogant and thinks hes magnificent bc for his role hes /supposed/ to be perfect, so that ppl can trust/admire/dream over him etc. I think this is supported a lot by some of his lines:
Maddie always talks like hes giving some kind of noble speech which i dont really notice w other characters where its not appropriate? Like everything he says is a performance of some kind whether its a speech abt the divines will or his own glory and it feels like there should be an audience that these lines should b spoken to
These lines especially stick out, these reassurances as if hes pushing the image that hes a knight so kindhearted that noooooo humble commoners’ plight is too small for him to take care of… like who needs to hear this? Like hes such a romanticised idea of a knight and i think its on purpose? Especially given that the One thing we know abt the republics culture is they loveeee their theatrics and dramatising battle and victory!!!!!
(espresso is sleeping in this screenshot please speak quietly so he can rest)
Anyways. I dont think it needs pointing out that madeleine is dramatic and superficial and obsessed w maintaining this dreamlike perfect knightly image. But ik a lot of ppl get tripped up on the idea that hes not this selfless missionary of goodwill (which ironically is exactly how he wants to look, just a very pretty one) but dont be afraid of it… not only is it really funny to imagine him this way, seeing him get constantly knocked down 5 pegs at a time bc nobody rlly wants to pay attention to him, but also its fun to imagine why hes this way and how it might affect him. Madeleines narcissism feels like an inevitability when he was born into a noble family of knights and virtually inherits the role of knight commander. How does it affect someone to be raised and fine tuned perfectly for the role of a public figure, let alone one that acts as a protector of the people, who lives to help the helpless, who is effortlessly victorious and looks handsome while doing it, who never struggles except when he heroically overcomes it to inadvertently teach a valuable lesson to others?🤔 as self centred as he is madeleines whole schtick is to serve others whether thats by saving them or just looking as perfect as possible. In gingerbraves kingdom literally nobody needs a role model like this so they r either unphased or irritated by that schtick and he’s still in denial abt this, assuming hes just not radiant enough for people to notice him or the like. And like. What is there to him besides that superficial image hes crafted of himself bc i dont think hes stupid, i think he knows how much ppl dont care but like. Whats it like having a persona uve carefully crafted ur whole life to appeal to as many ppl as possible ripped off of u by the fact that u dont appeal to anyone

Hey, can we Not say Little Hope’s end was bad?
TLDR: The Dark Pictures Anthology isnt a supernatural horror series; it’s a psychological horror wearing the clothes of supernatural stories. Treating it as such only leaves us feeling dissatisfied. Just because Little Hope wasn’t the story we wanted, doesnt make the twist “shitty” or “overused”. Its NOT a scapegoat. It’s the intended story. There’s a reason Until Dawn isn’t part of this series.
Hey can i say something though,,, the ending doesnt invalidate the journey at all. It’s just a different kind of journey.
The mind can do some absolutely insanr things, especially with an added bit of head trauma.
The events of little hope was the story we wanted. Until t wasn’t. But for some of us, its the story we needed.
Anthony lost everything. He was suffering. He was delusioned, even before the accident. We can tell by the fact the wreck even happened. He was hallucinating. He couldn’t cope with the loss of his family, especially when everyone blamed HIM- including himself.
HE started the fire. HE left it unattended. HE didn’t help Megan. HE couldn’t save anyone. He spent decades blaming himself for events either out of his control, or a small mistake. HE DOESNT KNOW that the fire was caused by Megan’s doll, not until after he’s released. Even then, he still blames himself.
So when he returns to little hope, albeit briefly, his mind Physically Cannot handle the memories. They overflow into what he believes is reality. He hallucinates.
THIS IS A SYMPTOM OF PTSD!!!
Then he gets a concussion. His mind is SCRAMBLED. The trauma, the mental illness, and the crash was too much. He physically cannot handle being in Little Hope again.
So his mind creates a story. A fracture. (AN ACTUAL MEDICAL THING)
A story that allows him to, for just a little while, escape. He’s just a student, pursuing creative writing- something that he likely wanted to pursue until his livelihood was taken from him. He’s happy, although confused, and not so painfully alone. He’s got friends, kinda. Parental figures.
But his mental illness quickly seeps through again. His trauma spills into this new life. He sees things that reminds his mind of Before, and his mind tries to desperately to explain it.
Then comes the fear. The memories. Sort of. His mind tries to explain WHY.
I think seeing Vince only made it worse. He doesnt know its him, but his mind does. It creates an explanation: he’s a weird old guy. Nothing more.
The demons, the character arcs, these are stories he wants to tell himself. These are stories he NEEDS to tell himself. His mom and dad are falling in love again, albeit in new faces. They dont HATE each other.
Most importantly, nobody hates HIM. He needs that most of all. When he bashes himself, not even purposefully, they assure him he’s ENOUGH. They even compliment him on some weird quirks of his. Sometimes they say weird things, or hate on him, but not NEARLY as much as they did Before.
This is EVIDENT in what happens.
He doesn’t want the demons. He doesnt want his family to die again. This is LITERALLY chance for him to come to terms with what happened and save them. He LITERALLY envisions himself CHANGING THE PAST. The NUMBER ONE THING that therapists tell people with trauma they can’t do. That’s not coincidence.
The journey was meaningful. To us. To HIM. Whether they die, they live; whether he is saved, or is arrested, or in jail.
THE FOUND FAMILY IS THE GOAL!!!
Sure, they aren’t real. Sure, they’re dead. But with the good ending, he feels accepted. They literally help him accept that IT ISNT HIS FAULT. Nothing that happened is his fault. Its implied to be Little Hope’s story, but He knows it’s about the fire. We know. And with the bad ending, he’s overcome with the guilt and trauma. He kills himself, BECAUSE he couldn’t accept he couldn’t change the past. BECAUSE he is overwhelmed with the fact he can’t save them.
In the ending where they die, and Mary saves him, because he saved her, its both. He doesn’t blame her, he’s learned. He doesn’t blame himself, because he’s learned. But he’s still suffering. There’s nothing he can do to change what happened. They’re still dead. But he’s the only one who knows that its not HER fault. He saved HER. He did everything he could: he understands. Sure, he’s suffering, but he is trying. He isn’t succumbing anymore. HE HAS A REASON.
Sort of. She’s the lingering effect of the fracture, the piece. It’s similar to an Alter, with DID, only they aren’t another personality. They don’t take control of your body. They’re just another voice in your head. But they serve a purpose. For him, it’s reminding him he has a reason to live.
Megan’s ghost doesn’t save him. We all know that, she isn’t real. It’s a Piece. His mind is saving him. Because at the end of the day, he’s ill. He’s not magically Better.
The story isn’t invalidated by the fact most the cast isnt real; the fact the demons weren’t real, just because the story being told wasn’t the story we wanted. It has consequences and impact, and we see it on Anthony.
Also??? As someone with trauma??? I can see so much of my symptoms cranked up to 100 with this? And this story was SO important to me?
Can we PLEASE stop saying Little Hope’s twist was shitty just because it’s not the story we wanted?? As we can tell, the dark pictures anthology ISNT a series about monsters and ghosts, like Until Dawn. Its not about secret monstrocities hurting people.
The Dark Pictures Anthology isnt a supernatural horror series; it’s a psychological horror wearing the clothes of supernatural stories.
#little hope#the dark pictures anthology#little hope spoilers#dark pictures anthology#dark pictures anthology little hope#the dark pictures little hope#SERIOUSLY#im so tired of looking at th elittle hope tag and seeing people bash it#saying its overused and awful#guys please STOP

My Alpha mate..
Alpha Tae / reader
Part one of a request for
@taesluttt I hope you like it’ I am sorry it took so long and there will be a part 2
You had always been curious when it came to Tae, he was in a lot of your college classes but you had never really spoken to him. What made you curious was the fact that he seemed to be almost everywhere you were even outside of class, you came to the conclusion that it must just be coincidence there is no way someone who looked as beautiful as Tae would be purposely showing up where you were that just isn’t believable in your mind. You had seen his friends always hanging around six other boys who also looked ethereally beautiful, it's like they had been sculpted by the gods themselves people just should not be that gorgeous let alone seven that spent there time together all being perfect.
It was an overly hot Friday night normally the temperature dropped as night fell but in the heatwave you were in the mist of it seemed even nighttime could bring relief, that's why when your bestfriend asked you if you wanted to go to a party at the lake you didnt even have to think twice you were in.
You had just bought a new bikini and figured it was the perfect time to wear it,you threw on a pair of cut off jean shorts and a tank top. Your body wasnt perfect but hey everyone has flaws and you had learned to except and embrace yours you were happy in your skin and that is really all that matters.
It was almost ten o'clock at night when you and your friends arrived and of course the first person your eyes land on is Taehyung and his friends. You found it almost hard to breathe when you noticed Tae and all his friends were shirtless. Your bestfriend nudged you "Lol, put your eyes back in your head." "I wasnt looking at anyone." You reply. "Sure, sure whatever you say girl. Noone would blame you if you were." She giggled. You rolled your eyes and walked over to were the rest of your friends had found a place to sit. Y/B/F sighs "Isnt Jimin just gorgeous?" You laugh at her. "They are all beautiful it should be illegal to be that good looking, lol. Speaking of them do you know anyone that has ever dated any of them, I've heard about there one night stands and everyone who has ever been with them says they dont even let you stay till the morning,if your at their place they ask you to leave as soon as your done and if they're at your place they instantly get up and leave with barely a nod." She shakes her head" I've only heard the rumors like you, but I'd like to think they aren't always that cold with everyone." "Me too." You agree and try to glance over only to be met with Tae's eyes burning into yours, and you also notice Jimin has the same burning eyes staring at your best friend but shes to busy talking to a someone she doesnt notice jimin stare. You hung out with your friends laughed and drank and were having a good time, the girls decided they wanted to go swimming so you all stripped down to your bathing suits and headed for the water."We must have the beat timing." Your b/f says."Tae and the boys are coming to swim also."
Ok now it did seem like they were following you but not just you for the first time you noticed there are seven girls in your group and seven of them, it seems like at this moment when you and your friends were in the lake that the seven boys made a circle around you not a obvious circle but it was clear they weren't letting any other boys thru, you watched as Tae talked to a boy you knew from your english lectures and it appeared he was coming to talk to you but after speaking to Tae he turned around and went the other way. You were the only one of your friends who seemed to notice and as much as you thought he was gorgeous you couldn't or wouldn't just let him control things in your life without himself even being in it. With all the courage you had you slowly made your way over to him. He must have sensed you were near cause he turned and locked eyes with you, it momentarily made you stop in your tracks but you pushed forward. "Tae oppa." You start. "Why did you stop that boy from coming to talk to me, you never even speak to me so why would you stop another from doing so?" Tae cocks his head with a smirk on his lips like he found this amusing.
"All thos time I have been near you and this is the first time you speak to me,but it's not as easy as just telling you. I will give you the short answer now and after that if you are still interested I will explain more thorough. Will you take a walk with me y/n?" She nods her head yes and then follows Tae as he gets out of the water and grabs a towel. Y/n also grabs a towel and Tae waits for her and when she is next to him he starts to walk. It is quiet at first Tae thinking about how he is going to tell you he is an alpha werewolf and you are his eternal mate. Most people still didnt even know his kind existed, still believing they were just fiction. Y/n walks alongside him waiting for him to start to talk.
They walk for a while before Tae starts talking. "I need you to listen to everything I have to say before you speak." He says in a rather gruff voice. "This isn't easy to explain but have a open mind all I'm asking of you is to listen." He looked at y/n and she nods.
He told her that and the guys he is always with were family Namjoon being his older brother and the other five boys being cousins. Hey explained that they all lived near each other in neighboring towns. Tae started to feel his palms sweat because he was getting to the part were he told her what he was. Tae told y/n his family lineage explained in detail what he was, when you start show signs of being a werewolf and last but certainly not least he told her how they all had one true soul mate, and it didn't have to be another like being it just mattered that when the two souls joined they became one.
When he was done he waited for y/n's response he had never been this nervous in his life, he left out the Alpha but figured he would she how this went and get into that and what going thru his heat would mean for another time he didnt want to overwhelm her.
Y/n finally spoke her voice was low but he could here her perfectly. "Oppa, why do you tell me this? An so you know I believe you, I have always thought that we all cant be arrogant enough to think think that humans are the only beings on the planet." Tae smiled "You are a smart girl, and I have told you all of this because you are my soulmate, you own the other half of my soul and I have to say my heart also." They stopped walking an she turned to look at him, he was beautiful and he just confessed all of this to you and it was a lot to take in but something inside you made you feel that where you belonged was with him so you decided there was no need for time to think things over. You cleared your throat and looked into Tae's anxious eyes. "I feel some sort of pull to you also I was never able to explain to myself or anyone else but I have always wanted you, you and only you. I've been on some dates." You are cut off by a growl coming from him but you put up your hand to stop him and narrow your eyes. " Hey! the kind of past you have, you and your boys man whoring around all the time I am well aware of so please save me the ridiculous growl over a few dates ok??" She looked into his eyes. "That's different." Tae said under his breath, kicking a rock like a little kid. Y/n laughed " Sorry but I'm not even going there with you because you'lloose and we both know it, so let's move on." Tae agrees and he stares at her and then moves forward to wrap his arms around her waist hugging her, breathing in her scent he has waited so long for this day his heart feeling full almost feeling complete, but that wont happen till after he mates and Mark's her.
Two weeks have gone by and they have been hanging out almost everyday and have even double dated with y/b/f an Jimin. You had kissed and have touched each other but nothing serious. He had explained everything to you in the past two weeks an he found you were very receptive. You had explained you were a virgin which he already knew an he assured you you didnt have to do anything you didnt want to he wasnt going to push you. He also knew he had two more weeks till his heat was upon him and he was torn, he wanted to take his time with you he didnt want to rush you because he knew overall you were a virgin and heat was a rough, dominant, long exhausting time and Alphas could get carried away during this time an he didnt want to hurt you.
You had fallen asleep in his bed so he took this chance to go downstairs an talk to the boys. Yoongi was sitting on the couch. "Hyung can I ask you something?" He nods an Tae continues "my heat is coming up an long story short I dont think y/n can handle it. Should I just get one of the omegas to help me thru this one?" Yoongi furrows his brows " Will you tell her that you are going to another?" Tae's face dropped Yoongi could see the conflict going on inside him but before he could give a answer a sad voice came from the stairs. "Would you really do that to me? You can think to be with someone else no matter what your reason, I will not stay here to find out." Y/n turned an walked to Taes room to get her things.
She barely had entered the room when she heard the door shut an lock. "Baby, that is not how I meant it." Tae says with a pleading voice. "Really cause it sounded like you were gonna go fuck someone else thru your heat, that's what I heard the big bad alpha say." Y/n says with attitude. "Watch it little girl, you dont speak to me in that way." His voice was dominant. "Please" she scoffed " you are allowed to speak about sleeping with someone else and clearly cheating on me but I am the one out of line. You weren't even going to tell me, let me guess your going to blame it on the "wolf" inside you." She deadpanned.
He growled and had her pushed up against the door before she could even blink. " I will not let a little human girl say such things to me. You think you can handle my heat little girl let's see if you can handle me now." He teased her meanly she scoffed again and that seemed to push Tae or more so his wolf over the edge.
Tae picked her up and threw her on the bed she bounched and tried to study herself but he was on her again he pushed her down an loomed over her, his eyes pierced thru her and her breath became shallow. Y/n was taken back when she felt the need to summit, she never considered herself a submissive person so this was new to her. Above her Taes wolf smirked at her realizing what had happened.
"That is it babygirl, summit to me like a good little bitch. You will refer to me one of two ways tonight, alpha or oppa. Am I clear little human? I dont like repeating myself." He looked at her expectantly waited for her answer.
Y/n nodded.
"That wont do. Say you understand."
He commanded.
"Yes I understand."
" Yes you understand......?" He waited
"Oh sorry. Yes I understand oppa."
"Good girl." Now stand before me and strip babygirl." He demanded.
Y/n hesitated she was nervous and self conscious. She had never been naked in front of someone else, she was a virgin this was all new and frightening.
Tae was fighting his wolf to be patient with her, he knew his wolf didnt want be left waiting after he gave a command but Tae tried to reason. The conversation they have was all internal,y/n could here none of it but she could sense there was a battle going on inside of Tae.
So to help an relieve any tension she slowly began to undress. Tae and his wolf stilled saying nothing just both watching in awe as her flesh became exposed to them. When she got down to her underwear she heard Taes voice come thru she knew it was his because it held less demand and was softer.
"Come here baby." He grabbed for her as she walked towards him, he was sitting on the edge of the bed. He pulled her to stand between his legs. He placed his hands on each side of her face and bringing her down so they were nose to nose. He kissed her sweetly. "Are you sure you are ok with this? You dont have to do this, because once we start baby I wont be able to stop my wolf." He sighs a little."He will be dominant, controlling and rough. He'll say things but dont worry if he calls you a bitch again. I saw your face it doesnt mean the same to wolf baby." He finishes. Y/n nods slightly and then looks into his eyes. "I'm ready oppa, there is no one I'd rather be with for my first time and everytime after. I only want you. Also the thought of you with another leaves me sick to my stomach. I wish to be the only one who satisfies your needs." He grabbed her face again much faster and rougher this time pulling her in for a kiss that was fire and spoke to her without any words needed. It let her know who was in control and who basically owned her right now body and soul.
Y/n felt herself begin to comply, becoming submissive like she had started feeling before. She gasped as she was flipped over and on to the mattress on her back.
"I've waited along time for you mate." He breathed heavily into her ear. "I want to taste every inch of your fragile little human body, my mouth is watering to taste that pretty pink pussy I just know your hiding underneath your panties." He pulls her up some so he can remove her bra. Surprise takes over her because before she even knew what he was doing, he had her hands bound to the headboard with her bra.
She wanted to complain but thought better of it when she met his eyes. He smirked " that's a good girl no need to argue. Maybe if your good I'll untie you but right now as I taste you I want you to stay right where you are." He moves down your body. He puts one sharp claw on each side under your panties resting the claw on your hip, until in one swift motion your underwear fell off as the claws cut clean thru them.
He pushed her legs open and just stared at her core. She became red with humiliation. Never had someone seen her naked let alone spread open and piercing eyes drinking in the site.
Tae licked his lips an dove in. Y/n squealed and that earned her a slap to her pussy and a groaned out "keep quiet little human."
She tried really hard concentrating on her breathing trying not to let herself slip into this euphoric feeling but it was almost unbearable.
His lips and tongue covering ever inch of her. He started by slowly licking a stripe from her opening to her clit but would avoid her bud and start over again. She thought she was going mad, she had never done this before and she felt she need something else yet unsure what exactly to ask for.
Tae locks eyes with her when he finishes another excruciating slow stripe up her pussy. Only this time while his eyes are locked with hers he takes her clit into his mouth and sucks. Her body jolts and she moans wantonly. Surprised by the noise she makes but she feels to good to worry about it now, but still a pink flushed her cheeks.
"You like that baby? Is your alpha making you feel good? Hmmm" he hums the last part with your clit in his mouth and you feel like your going g to explode.
"Oh god yes oppa! It feels.so good."
He dips back in this time having no mercy he is licking one second and sucking in your clit in another. You feel your orgasm approaching like a fire burning with in and Tae seems to notice it too.
"You gonna come little human huh? Come on cum for me,cum on your Alphas tongue like a good girl." And with that the fire ignites in her belly and she feels her orgasm rack thru her body, even after it has passed she is still having after shocks. He removes from your heat and comes back up to you so your face to face. He smiles and kisses you gently and when he talks you know its Tae speaking to you.
"You did so good babygirl. I'm gonna clean you up, then get you a drink and a snack." She looks at him confused. "What about you? I thought this is about you." He chuckled a very low dark one at that. "Oh baby we're not even close to being done. I just need to make sure you have enough energy for what is next." Y/n looked stunned, she was in for a very long rough night and she knew this so she let him clean her up and waited while he went to the kitchen wondering what was in store for next. She was after all going to be having sex with a wolf and this terrified her and excited her. Her breath picked up with every footstep she heard getting closer to her. When Tae walked in an set the food down she questioned him. "Are you going to untie me so I can eat my snack?" He shakes his head. " No I'm gonna feed you baby. I like you tied up like this so just relax for a minute your gonna need it. I plan to fuck you in every hole and fuck you raw at that. I'm gonna use your little human body until you think your gonna pass out from exhaustion and cant take anymore, but you will take more you will take everything I give you until I am satisfied." His smirk was scary what had you agreed to, you were going to find out that's for sure....

izuku is a habitual clothes thief, borrowing his friends' stuff because dorm living can be a mess of people crowding over each other and stuff getting mixed up and it's like he has a piece of them wherever he goes. Sometimes, it’s iida’s hoodie, other times it’s ochako wool hat, and even todoroki’s mittens he would ‘borrow’ and his friends just happily put up with it because izuku is an only child growing up and he didn’t have any friends beside katsuki and then when katsuki discarded him… he had no one before coming to UA so this habit of stealing people clothes and wearing it is just a way to exert over his loneliness that had deeply rooted in him.
one day, in a hurry he grabbed a scarf from his laundry basket. he doesnt think about it until he can feel katsuki's heated gaze on him all day. It takes someone for him to realize it. "isnt that bakugou's scarf?" Ochako points out and izuku looks down and it's—yea it is. they both got an all might scarf but izuku's scarf ends was fraying w/ loose threads and faded colors from washing so much while katsuki took much better care of his so it’s still look brand new.
it's why he never dared to 'borrow' any stuff from katsuki because he's zealously protective and territorial about it. but somehow the scarf landed in his laundry basket which is the hazard of dorm living and communal space. so now he's kinda freaking out because HE'S WEARING KATSUKI'S SCARF. he'd been wearing it all day, even in class because it's one of those chilly winter days that freezes him to the bone, and he'd been snuggling his scarf a lot to hide from the cold. that would explains why the scarf smells diff yet familiar and is a comforting thing wrapped around him.
after class izuku approaches katsuki gingerly and with a bleak and apologetic expression on his face. "im so, so sorry! I didn't realize i had taken your scarf!"
katsuki clicks his tongue in annoyance. "You idiot," he scolds, eyes dark. "Now it got your dumb germs all over it."
izuku flushes. he just knew katsuki wouldnt be happy with him wearing katsuki's stuff. "i'll wash it and give it back to you later. sorry!"
Katsuki's glowers. "Keep that shit. I dont want it anymore." And abruptly shut down the conversation by storming off.
after that izuku tries extremely hard to be more careful not to accidentally wear something of katsuki but then he starts finding things like katsuki's (all might) socks his laundry basket, his winter gloves in izuku's cubby, and even a shirt hung on his doorknob! it's all v v strange. once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, but three, four and five?? it's on purpose. first he tries to return all the stuff back to katsuki but katsuki just glare at him like he’s doing something wrong. then a few days later he’ll find something of katsuki’s among his stuff AGAIN.
befuddled by this while his friends all simmer in amusement at his strange circumstances because how the fuck does katsuki's clothing items keep getting mixed among his stuff,,, and then he thinks of katsuki's eyes on him that day when he was wearing katsuki's scarf. it wasnt anger. it was something else. to test his theory, when he found Katsuki's sweatshirt among his laundry that day he wears it around the dorm that night and that entire time katsuki DOESNT SAY A SINGLE WORD TO HIM but he never take his eyes off of izuku. it's like having the full focus of the sun turn spotlighting on a single, insignificant flower.
izuku gets some kind of thrill having all that intensity and focus on him especially knowing that he’s literally wearing a piece of katsuki on him. and the most important thing is that katsuki never told him to take it off even though he was walking around with what is CLEARLY KATSUKI’S SWEATSHIRT ON HIS BODY. after that it becomes an unspoken thing. katsuki's stuffs keep ending up in his and he's wear them for a bit before giving it back. then the cycle repeats itself.
"is this some weird mating ritual," his friends croon, but izuku doesnt have an answer he just know he likes it. A lot.
katsuki clearly likes it too because otherwise he wouldnt go through all that effort to keep doing it because he without a doubt is stupidly protective and territorial about his stuff but izuku has always been his even when he wasnt so izuku wearing his scarf and sweatshirt kicks his hindbrain up and makes him sick with want. katsuki had always been meticulous of his clothes/gears that HE NEVER LEND TO ANYONE but he treated izuku incredibly shitty so now by letting izuku wear his stuff and making his claim obvious izuku become part of his horde because he always take good care of his stuff; they’re his treasure.
